Gift Guide 2011 - She bakes...

Holiday help is here again! Today I am showing you my perfect stylish yet practical gifts for bakers, all in candy colours!

She bakes...

1. I love the quirky tea cup cake moulds, perfect for cute cupcakes. 2. The magnetic retro timer means you will always know when it's time to check on those cakes a-baking in the oven! 3. The whimsical Russian doll measuring cups are so cool you will want to leave them on display in your kitchen. 4. What a pretty pink can opener, a great way to add a splash of colour to your utensils jar!

5. I have this oak spice rack for 6 jars hung on my kitchen wall with the tiny flip storage jars full of pretty cupcake sprinkles; I love how it looks. 6. Kitchen Aid Pro set of 3 mixing bowls in pink 7. I just bought these floral scales because they look good enough to hang on your wall, and you'll be pleased to know they can be, as each one is also designed with a digital 'time of day' clock function.

8. The prettiest sieve on the high street and a snip at 90p! 9. I love these melamine serving spoons ,perfect to serve your pretty coloured macarons on! 10. A traditional icing pen with nozzle - fill it up with lots of icing and keep your hands steady! 11. Just because ice cream sprinkles will be so much more fun with these melamine short spoons.

12. This bright, happy melamine bowl set - Naughty Green from Rice DK is so practical with their plastic lids and they stack inside each other for storage. 13. Loving the reusable silicone muffin cases in the prettiest ice cream shades, and a snip at £2 for 12! 14. This funky sky blue silicone wooden spatula, because bakers can never have too many spatulas! 15. For grating oranges and lemons, this pale blue stainless steel grater is perfect for cake bakers who use citrus.

More pretty baking supplies

Kitchen Aid in duck egg blue

I plan to make lots of sweet treats in my kitchen this Christmas using my beloved duck egg blue Kitchen Aid, a Christmas gift from last year. Oh, how I love it!

Striped paper straws
I have wanted American style, retro striped paper straws that I am sure you have all seen in wonderful blogs the world over for ages now. Christmas seemed like a good excuse to finally get some, so I opted for pink, turquoise and green to fit in with my Winter Wonderland Christmas colour palette and will be using them to make my lollipops sticks super cute!

Divine bakers twine
I also bought some bakers twine in matching colours to tie around my cookies, hang my hand made tree decorations from, and to adorn gifts!

Mint & pink twist ties
When I saw these pretty twist ties on Etsy I just had to have them! I mean who knew they came in such sugary colours? I will be using them to keep my sweet treats fresh and pretty!

Bird tin
Winter Bird Tin, because I needed somewhere to store my mince pies, and it was too perfect for me to resist...

Pretty baking supply stores

Planet Bake

Cake Decorating Company

Bake it Pretty

Fancy Flours

Today on "shops I love", I am featuring four online boutiques that are full of a baker's dream goodies.

The UK based Planet Bake has a wide variety of creative baking and partyware supplies, from pretty cupcake boxes to sugar craft equipment.

The Cake Decorating Company has an enormous catalogue of delights. For the cake pop enthusiasts there are sticks and wrappers, candy melts and cake pop stands for displaying your latest creations. They also sell the trendy new cake push-up containers and can print your photos and designs onto edible paper! Oh, and they also sell edible shimmery ribbon - how neat is that?

Across the pond there is Bake it Pretty, which was started by blogger Amanda who struggled to find stylish, unique, and retro baking supplies. Her store started out as an Etsy store in 2006 and now she has her very own brick and mortar boutique in downtown Asheville, North Carolina.

Also in the US is Fancy Flours, a site dedicated to edible art and they are passionate about all things related to sugar crafting. They sell over fifty shades of glitter and edible dust, along with cake, cookie and candy moulds, and the prettiest packaging supplies from treat boxes, bakers twine to cake stands and cupcake holders.
