Petra Boase @ Spirit of Christmas

Old favourite Petra Boase had a stand at the Spirit of Christmas show and as usual it was full of whimsical happy bright treats! They had some gorgeous new bird fabric prints with pops of neon and a whole bunch of pretty honeycomb paper decorations. They also had some great stocking fillers like the budgie embroidered badges and cute bird hair clips.

The Gorgeous Company

Today on shops i love I wanted to share with you my first highlight from The Spirit of Christmas show, The Gorgeous Company. I loved all the textured gifts in cream and off white from the plumes of feathers to the hand crochet cotton angels whose heads are filled with lavender.

The Gorgeous Company was found in 2010 by Vija & Quentin Mackay and built on a passion to bring Gorgeous items to others, believing that Gorgeousness and uniqueness do not need to cost the earth. The Spirit of Christmas show 2012

Last week after visiting the delightful Cath Kidston Spring/Summer press show, (which I will be sharing with you later) I excitedly headed over to the Spirit of Christmas show. I had a lovely time and spent a few pennies on some cute tea towels I'm going to make in to cushion covers, pretty paper pom poms to hang from my ceilings and a glamorous acorn garland to adorn my mirror. Todays Christmas inspiration comes from Cox and Cox. One of the major trends this year for Christmas is a chic rustic woodland. Cox and Cox have all the bases covered here with there vast array of birch decorations from candle holders to pine cone garlands and scatter stars, make your own gingerbread house kits and decorative fawn.

Todays Christmas inspiration comes from another one of my favourite Danish brands, Miss Etoile. I am loving the bang on trend honey comb balls and trees in mint and off white, they look so pretty next to the paper pom pom flowers. This is one glamorous vintage Christmas inspiration what with all that glistening gold and opulent feathers!

Lisbeth Dahl Christmas 2012

Todays Christmas inspiration comes from another Danish brand I love, Lisbeth Dahl. I adore the rustic setting of wooden tables, distressed metals and natural twigs hung with whimsical sequinned owls all in a refined colour palette of chalky lilac, faded blue and silver greys with highlights of plum and mint. Decisions, decisions ?!?!

Green Gate Christmas 2012

With Halloween behind us now, my thoughts have turned to Christmas! I am in the process of working out what my theme and colour palette will be this Christmas. So along the way I will be sharing with you some of my favourite inspiration from the brands I love, stylists I adore and the Christmas shows I am visiting.

First up is the cute pink and aqua Christmas colour palette from Green Gate with floral prints, polka dots and checks. Motifs of sweet deer and pretty lace trims look fresh and modern set back against a rustic backdrop of twiggy pinecone wreaths and industrial vintage steel.
