Mark's Tokyo Edge @ Top Drawer

Another one of my highlights at Top Drawer was Mark's Tokyo Edge.
Mark's Tokyo Edge is an ambitious new stationery company with innovative products displaying real Japanese style and design flair. They had such a fabulous dizzying array of washi tapes in countless colours and patterns all in a variety of sizes...

Lisbeth Dahl @ Top Drawer

Another one of my highlights from Top Drawer was Danish brand Lisbeth Dahl...



What really caught my attention was all the lovely pressed glass cake stands, candy jars, footed bon bon bowls and the bird topped jars in a pretty vintage palette of rose pink, pale turquoise and mint...



Now I am on a mission to find out who is going to sell all these pretties from the rose and light blue glass bird jars with antiqued silver finish, tin box with flowers, "Dottie with good stuff" clear jar, footed bowls and the rose and mint cake stands!

Miss Etoile Spring 2013

Yesterday I visited Top Drawer, the UK's leading trade event for design-led gifts, lifestyle, Stationery and Greetings, Fashion and Wellbeing products. Top Drawer gives buyers an unrivalled opportunity to source products from a unique mixture of new and established designers and international brands.

On my "must visit" list of stands to check out was of course Miss Etoile. Who as always did not disappoint! For Spring 2013 they have produced a gorgeous baking collection with the cutest cookie cutters, prettiest cake decorations including sugar hearts and stars, crystal pearls and sprinkles, mini paper cake stands and beautiful paper doilies. But my absolute favourite treasure that I can't wait to hit stores later next month is the paper cupcakes and teapots...

It was great to see their collection at the Top Drawer interior show in all its sugary, sparkly glory! I so need to get some of the gorgeous paper blooms and striped straws for my Summer soiree's.

Top Drawer - Winter 2011 trends part 2

Shelter A/W 2011

A wholesome, fun trend inspired by vintage mountain ski lodges set among snow capped mountains and evergreen trees. Winter woodland motifs of trees, stags, deer and bears. Lumberjack checks and fair isles knits in a colour palette of warm, woody browns, rustic reds and icy blues.

I am now officially looking forward to Winter, getting snuggly and preparing for Christmas!

A layered story of textures in milky whites, luscious creams, oyster and powdery grey. Ethereal wings, birds, and barely there leafy florals. Bird cages and houses. Juxtaposed materials of shiny porcelain and matt ceramics. Rustic cotton and wool against slick shiny leather and plastic. A perfect Wintry White Christmas story!

Dear Prudence

This week for my 'shops i love' page, I bring you another brand I discovered at Top Drawer. Dear Prudence, started by textiles and fashion graduate Laura Ruth Vickers in 2009.

After graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 2006, Laura worked on prints and graphics for Alexander McQueen and Emma Cook. This led to working with other renowned fashion designers such as Missoni, Vera Wang and Calvin Klein on textile prints and illustrations. She then went onto selling her innovative prints on greetings cards at Brick Lane market. Now living in the Yorkshire countryside, Laura produces unique and stylish prints on cards and paper inspired by the beautiful wildlife surrounding her new home.

Elena Deshmukh

This week for my 'shops i love' page, I bring you another brand I discovered at Top Drawer. Elena Deshmukh, who designs and creates her own exclusive range of embroidered stationery, grew up in Milan before moving to London where she studied Fashion / Textile design. After graduating she worked for a textile agency, designing for Kenzo, Moschino and Donna Karan among others. In 2001 she started her own business and continues to work with fashion textiles and does bespoke projects.

Each card is individually embroidered and handmade by Elena. Her cards are stocked in many beautiful boutiques including The Conran Shop.

Garden Trading

This week for my 'shops i love' page, I bring you another brand I saw at Top Drawer. Garden Trading is a brand whose focus is stylish, well designed, functional products that stand the test of time. They have a large range of products including accessories and lighting for kitchens, gardens, potting sheds and laundry rooms. Everything comes in lovely muted colours with a hint of vintage charm.

I am loving their ceramic lid jars in sage green and there taupe laundry room accessories.
